In the first step of a larger project which implies 5 of the current 150 stores in Argentina, and aiming to improve the service they give to their customers, EKI DESCUENTO has replaced compressor and condensing units built with reciprocating compressors, with MiniScroll units equiped with Copeland Scroll compressors in parallel.

MiniScroll refrigeration units can start as low as three 3HP compressors up to as high as four 10HP compressors being able to combine high, medium and low evaporation temperatures in the same unit.

Efficiency and reliability have shown to be excellent from the very beginning, reducing operating and maintenance costs, improving refrigeration quality (perishables last longer and spills subsided), lower power bills due to Scroll compressor’s higher efficiency, space saving and a much lower noise level. All of which resulted in an improvement of the stores profit.
